Orange Calcite is a stunning apricot variety of the calcium carbonate mineral Calcite. While known for its vibrant, sunny hue, it can also be found in a deep red-orange colour - known more specifically as Orchid Calcite (see below.) Like Honey & Yellow Calcite, it also gets its colour from traces of Hematite within. Orange Calcite can commonly be found in Mexico, Canada, & South America, & may sometimes display beautiful banded patterns of oranges, creams & whites.
