History & Origin:

Chalcopyrite, also known as Peacock Ore, is a gold coloured Copper Iron Sulphide mineral that displays an array of iridescent hues when tarnished. Fresh Chalcopyrite has a brassy, gold-like metallic surface. However, when it is exposed to air, moisture, & natural elements, a process called oxidation begins. While this process occurs naturally, some man-made processes are put in place to speed up oxidation. Sparkling with vibrant pinks, blues, greens, golds & purples, its surface closely resembles the brilliant feathers of a peacock, hence the name Peacock Ore!

Metaphysical Properties:

Chalcopyrite has the unique ability to help discover lost items & uncover what is hidden. Holding a close association with the Sun, its bright energy can bring illumination, inspire optimism & surround you with a warm blanket of joy & positivity. This bright light can cast away inner shadows & help you conquer fears of failure & disappointment. It can support you on your personal quest for enlightenment as well as remove energy blocks from all 7 Chakras! It is known as the ‘Mystic Stone’ because of its connection to the spirit realm & its ability to raise awareness, perception & physic powers. Additionally, this stone can support friendships, bringing new connections into your life & filling your moments with gratitude & happiness.

How to use:

This rainbow gem holds a light as bright as the Sun. Use it to guide you on your path towards enlightenment & remove negativity. Keep in your home to bring positivity, optimism & illumination. Hold when needing to recall/uncover lost items, or even as a tool for psychometry (object reading.)

! This stone should avoid contact with water for long periods of time as it can oxidise and dull colours.
